AS SIMPLE AND AS COMPLICATED AS THAT

Es de noche y la música suena. Las luces a mi alrededor brillan casi con la misma intensidad que los rítmicos latidos que sacuden suavemente mi pecho. Desmenuzando las notas me encuentro en calma, pienso en cuán afortunada soy por sentirme por fin en paz conmigo misma y con el mundo. Tan feliz, tan serena, tan segura de que todo está en su sitio, justo en el lugar que le corresponde.
Te miro mientras la luz se refleja en tu rostro. Y sé que eres parte de ello, que tienes tu sitio aquí, en toda esta incandescencia que me rodea y a la cual ya pertenezco.
Por fin puedo parar un momento a descansar a un lado del camino. Finalmente puedo dejar que me invada la tranquilidad que me proporciona la certeza de que, cuando reanude mis pasos, éstos me conducirán a nuevos horizontes en los que agrandar mi espíritu, a nuevas experiencias que me enriquezcan y me dejen en sintonía con la persona que soy hoy y con la que espero llegar a convertirme mañana.
Te miro mientras la luz se refleja en tu rostro. Y sé que quiero que seas parte de ello, que tengas tu sitio aquí, en toda esta incandescencia que nos rodea y a la cual ya pertenecemos.

Y tengo el convencimiento de que, sin necesitarte en mi vida, te quiero en ella. 
Y es emocionante.
